I am always shopping for yarn, and during one of my trips to Joann, I discovered Lion Brand Jeans yarn
. I instantly fell in love with this yarn, which comes in different shades of denim. Near the yarn, I also found several free patterns. The pattern for this scarf is called the Jeans Kassidy Scarf. For this scarf, I used the Jeans yarn in shades Brand New
, Stonewash
, and Faded
. These are the same shades used in the pattern, but Lion Brand Jeans yarn
has other colors that you can use as well. I used about a half a ball of each.
To create this scarf, you'll need the free knitting pattern for the Jeans Kassidy Scarf, size 8 (5mm) knitting needles
I followed the pattern, which is rows and rows of the garter stitch.
Each section has 24 knitted rows... [Rae Dunn Snooze mug
... Can you tell I'm a Rae Dunn collector? 😀]
The scarf is worked in two strips, so after I finished the first strip, I immediately began working on the second strip.
Once I finished both strips, I weaved in the ends, and then used a yarn needle to stitch the strips together.
All Done! The scarf is about 66 inches long and 7 inches wide.
This yarn is really soft and light weight. I look forward to wearing this scarf in the fall.😁
Since I really enjoyed knitting this scarf, I plan to make another one for my Etsy shop really soon!
I love all things denim, so I'm loving the yarns you choose. I'm sure it will do great in your Etsy shop.
