Welcome to the March Pinterest Challenge! In case you're new to the blog, the purpose of the Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen! This month's challenge is about Spring Projects with a focus on Easter and Gardening, so I chose to share a couple Crochet Carrots! So far, I've made two, but I may make more to decorate my tiered tray. I found the pattern on Pinterest (Crochet Cuisine: Carrots).

To create these carrots, I used Red Heart Super Saver Pumpkin and Red Heart Super Saver Spring Green and a size 3.5mm Clover crochet hook.
I stuffed the carrots with Poly Fil.
I used a yarn needle to sew the green carrot leaves.
The first carrot is complete! I had a couple St. Paddy's Day cookies.
Then I started carrot #2.
I decided to crochet green spirals for the leafy part of this carrot. I crocheted chains that were 15 to 30 stitches long. Then I crocheted 2 single crochets into each chain to create the spirals.
Both carrots are complete!
If you need to crochet some carrots, I recommend that you check of this Pin for the free and easy to follow pattern.
The carrots are now on the bottom tier of my tiered tray.
