In honor of my daughter turning 5 this month, I've been sharing posts featuring things I've sewn for her over the years. Well, she'll be 5 TOMORROW, and today, I'm sharing one of my most recent sewing creations. A few months ago, I tested a fabulous pattern for Call Ajaire called the Crossover Flounce Dress. My daughter and I both LOVE this dress! I love the crossover layered skirt and the fact that it's reversible, so it's two dresses in one! I decided to make one side with Seattle Seahawks fabric and the other side with navy camo fabric. This dress is so versatile.
I made a green sash for the Seahawks side of the dress. She wore the dress to preschool around Easter time, and since it was still a little chilly here, she wore the dress with tights and boots. She couldn't stop twirling in this very twirly dress. She loves it!
When she wore the dress to preschool on the navy camo side, I paired it with black combat boots.
My daughter loves her dress, and the picture on the left is my favorite picture of her in it. I wonder which fabric she likes more...
These dresses are darling!! You did a great job! Thanks for sharing at our DIY Crush Craft Party on Thursdays! Hope to see your newest projects this week! www.diy-crush.com

DeleteI am so impressed by this dress. I can't imagine being able to make something that looks as good on the "inside" as on the "outside!" Your daughter is just adorable... I live out on the East Coast, so can't so I am a Seahawks fan. However, I've always loved your colors. I think you could sell that dress!
