In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I decided to create a couple Breast Cancer Awareness projects. While shopping at a local fabric store, I stumbled upon some fabric that features pink and white bras and pink ribbons. I had to buy it. I knew it would be perfect for a Breast Cancer Awareness project. So created a set of Breast Cancer Awareness mug rugs using the fabric with the bras, denim from an old pair of jeans, and a pink floral fabric.
For the fabrics, I used fabric featuring cute pink bras, pink floral fabric, and an old pair of jeans.
I cut out a few pink ribbons.
I seed a piece of bra fabric, pink rick rack, and a pink ribbon onto the denim for the front of the mug rug.
For the back of the mug rug, I stitched lines of pink hearts. I used low loft batting.
I put the front and back pieces together and used my rotary cutter to make them even. Then I added light pink bias taped around the edges.

I have a history of breast cancer in my family, so I'd like to remind you to check yourself, and get regular check ups with our doctor!
