For Mother's Day, I made my mother a crochet throw for her sun room. She's decorated it in the colors gray, yellow, and blue. So I made her a throw with white, gray, blue, and yellow yarn. I'm trying to use up my yarn stash, so l ended up using four different yarns in this one blanket. I feel like doing so is breaking a rule! 😁
Here are the four yarns I used to create this triangle blanket: Caron Simply Soft in Country Blue, I Love This Yarn in White, Red Heart With Love in Daffodil, and Red Heart Super Saver in Charcoal.
For most projects, I use a size F/4mm crochet hook, but for this throw blanket, I finally got to use my size P crochet hook. This pattern is called Sunset Shades Throw in the book Q-Hook Afghans for the Family.
While crocheting this blanket, I had about 12 balls of yarn in my lap. Each triangle in a row needs it own ball of yarn, and you crochet with two strands.
Look! I painted my nails yellow to match the Daffodil yarn in the blanket!😁
It's time to weave all the ends. I try to weave ends as I go, so I'm not overwhelmed with ends after I'm done crocheting.
The blanket is finished off with a white single crochet border, and of course, I had to add a wooden Sew Crafty Crochet tag.
I took a couple pictures of it before shipping it off to my mommy. It actually matches my decor! That means, I need to make one for myself!
wow, gorgeous and so many amazing projects you've shared on craft schooling sunday!

DeleteAh, it's gorgeous. I don't know about breaking any rules, this seems to have worked out lovely! I have no idea how you coped with 12 balls of yarn in your lap at a time without getting into a hot mess but I'm super impressed.
