Crochet Cheeseburger Scarf

One of my crochet goals for the year is to crochet new patterns, so I recently crocheted a Cheeseburger Scarf. It was a really fun project to create!  If you've been following my blog or my Instagram, then you know that I am a fan of the crochet designer Twinkie Chan, and this is one of her fabulously fun food inspired patterns.

Here are the yarns I used to crochet this scarf: I Love This Yarn Brown (patty)Vanna's Choice Honey (bun), Plymouth Encore 1382 Bright Yellow (cheese), Vanna's Choice Fern (lettuce), Vanna's Choice Scarlet (tomato), and Vanna's Choice White (onion).

For the burgers, I used Vanna's Choice Honey for the bun and I Love This Yarn in Brown for the burger patty. There is also a Vanna's Choice Brown yarn, but I didn't have any in my stash at the time that I made this scarf.

I made 15 burgers. I crocheted all 15 burgers before adding on the toppings.

Once all 15 burgers were made, I stitched them all together.

Then I added the tomato... The tomato was my favorite burger topping to add. It's also my favorite burger topping with real burgers.

Next, I added the onion... I do not like onions on my real burgers.

Then I added the cheese. I like cheese on all burgers, except a Whopper. Whoppers are so yummy, they don't need the added cheese. Adding cheese to a Whopper actually ruins the burger for me and will make me mad! lol

Lastly, I added the lettuce, which was lots of fun!

Once all the burgers had their tomatoes, onions, cheese, and lettuce, it was time for sesame seeds... or was it???

I wasn't absolutely sure if the buns needed sesame seeds, so I asked my Instagram friends, and the majority voted for the sesame seeds.

So then I had to decide what kind of sesame seeds I wanted to put on the burgers. The top left has tiny white pom poms.  The top right has tiny tan pom poms. The bottom left has French knots made with Vanna's Choice Fisherman yarn. And the bottom right has not so tiny white pom poms.

I ended up choosing the tiny white mini pom poms for the sesame seeds. I put 7 on each bun.

Ta-da!  The Cheeseburger Scarf is complete!

It looks yummy enough to eat, but it's only for wearing! 😀

This Cheeseburger Scarf is 79 inches long and 4.5 inches wide, and it's available for purchase in my Etsy shop!
