Crochet Flowering Cactus Scarves

My hands have been busy busy busy crocheting scarves as I work toward my goal of using up my 800+ skeins of yarn. I've been working on using up my green yarn by making fun Flowering Cactus Scarves (pattern by HelloHappyCrafts). It's a fun and easy to follow pattern. And you can customize this scarf however you'd like. I like to stick to the terracotta colored flower pot , but I like using different shades of green for the cactus and different flower colors. I recently made three cactus scarves, and they're all a little different.

I was so glad that I stumbled upon a yarn colorway that's actually named Terracotta! I use it for the flower pots on all my scarves. This shade of green is Vanna's Choice Kelly Green

This sparkly green is Red Heart With Love Metallic Olive.

This variegated yarn is my favorite yarn to use to make cactus scarves. It is Red Heart Super Saver Green Tones.

For the Vanna's Choice Kelly Green cactus, I made Vanna's Choice Pink flowers.

For the Red Heart Super Saver Green Tones cactus, I made white flower with Vanna's Choice White yarn.

The Red Heart With Love Metallic Olive cactus has sparkly orange flowers.

 I love these pink flowers!

I think the white goes well with the variegated yarn.

I love the way the petals of the orange flowers curl.

I love cacti, so I would definitely pair this scarf with my cactus purse.

This cactus scarf is available in my Etsy shop.

This sparkly cactus scarf is also in my Etsy shop.

Guess what... This cactus scarf is also in my Etsy shop!  Yay!

  10. OMG, I love this! You totally inspire me! I wish I had counted how many skeins of yarn I had before I dedicated myself to using them up. I have a whole shelving unit with bins sorting the skeins by color in my basement because they don't fit in my craft room. Part of me wants to bring them all up, sit in the living room with them and just crochet until it's all gone... so I can go buy more!!!!!
