Welcome to the March Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop, hosted by My Pinterventures. The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants of this hop (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen! This month, I chose to create a crochet paintbrush scarf that features a paint palette. This is the first paintbrush scarf I've made with a palette, and I'm keeping it for myself! But I do plan to create one for my Etsy shop. To create this scarf, I just winged it, so there isn't any pattern information for me to share. Inspiration for this scarf came from an art teacher's classroom door on Pinterest.
The tip of this scarf has red paint (Vanna's Choice Scarlet). I used Red Heart With Love Metallic in Silver for the ferrule. For the brush bristle portion, I used Vanna's Choice Beige. After the ferrule portion was complete, I crocheted the scarf handle with Vanna's Choice Black yarn.
Since Caron Simply Soft has so many beautiful and bright colors, I searched my stash of Caron for colors to use for the paints on the paint palette. The Caron Simply Soft colors I used are Harvest Red, Persimmon, Sunshine, Kelly Green, Cobalt Blue, Purple, and Watermelon.
I used a large needle to sew on the paint colors.
The paint palette adds a bit more fun to the scarf.
This scarf makes me feel like painting! I plan to make another really soon for my Etsy shop. Follow me on Instagram at @SewCraftyCrochet to see what I'm working on next! Scroll down to see what the other bloggers were Pinspired to make this month.
