It's finally Fall, and that means Halloween is just around the corner. Halloween is one of my favorite days. I love dressing my kiddos up in fun costumes. I also enjoys making Halloween crafts and crochet projects, so my first Halloween project this year is a pair of Halloween Fingerless Gloves. I was inspired by my Sparkly Halloween Crochet Scarf.
For this scarf I used the following yarns: Red Heart With Love Metallic Olive, Red Heart With Love Metallic Light Grey, Cascade Yarns Hollywood 15 (Orange), Caron Simply Soft Pumpkin, Caron Simply Soft Party Black Sparkle, Caron Simply Soft Party Spring Sparkle, Caron Simply Soft Party Grape Sparkle, Caron Simply Soft Party Purple Sparkle, Caron Simply Soft Party Snow Sparkle, and Caron Simply Soft Sunshine.
To create these gloves, I followed a pattern for fingerless mittens in the book Twinkie Chan's Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies: 20 Yummy Treats to Wear, but I modified it a bit. I started by crocheting the cuff in striped Halloween colors.
I joined the cuff.
I decided to make mismatch loves, and for the first glove, I decided to make it a Jack-o'-lantern, so I crocheted it with Caron Simply Soft Pumpkin yarn.
I crochet a similar cuff for the second glove.
I decided to make a Frankenstein glove, so I crocheted it with Caron Simply Soft Party Spring Sparkle yarn.
I added Frankenstein's hair with Caron Simply Soft Party Black Sparkle.
Then it was time to add the faces to the gloves.
I added the faces to match the Jack-o'-lantern and Frankenstein on my Sparkly Halloween Crochet Scarf.
I'm keeping the gloves for myself, but my Sparkly Halloween Crochet Scarf is available in my Etsy Shop.
