Corner to corner crochet is my go to stitch for making a quick baby blanket. So in addition to a Wavy Texture Baby Blanket, I made my niece a pink camo baby blanket. I had this yarn in my stash for a bit, but I guess I was saving it for the perfect project. My niece is an Army brat, so pink camo is perfect!
I made this baby blanket with Pink Camo Caron Simply Soft yarn, and I used about 5 skeins to create a 32" x 32" baby blanket. I crochet it with a size 4mm crochet hook.
I'm an Army Brat and a Navy Wife, so I love all camo!
I added a pom pom border to the blanket when I was done. I used Caron Simply Soft Bone yarn for the border. Tutorial for corner to corner crochet and for the pom pom border can be found on YouTube.
I really like this border, and I think I'll add it to a lot of my future blankets!
I shipped the blanket to it's new home in Tennessee.

ReplyDeleteThank you! I'll be sure to stop by your link party again soon!
DeleteTurned out so nice. I've never liked crocheting with Caron Simply Soft. It always seems to be thinner than other WW yarns, and sometimes that creates a gauge problem, plus it separates so badly. It works up better for me knitted than crocheted. LOVE how color coordinated your hook is with your yarn, nicely done for the photo. Popped over from Party in Your PJ's

Caron Simply Soft is my go-to yarn for baby blankets. I love the variety of colors, and it's really soft. It is thinner, so I usually use a 4mm hook, and yes that can be a big issue for gauge. What yarns do you prefer to use? I've been crocheting more with I Love This Yarn lately... I'm trying to decide if I love it. 😁
