Thanksgiving is just around the corner, so I decided to finally make a crochet table runner. I've wanted to make one for a while, and I thought it would be the perfect project for the October Pinterest Challenge! The purpose of the Pinterest Challenge is to motivate us to not just pin, but to make it happen! This month's challenge is all about Thanksgiving projects and recipes. The pin I chose was of a Crochet Thanksgiving Table Runner by one of my favorite crochet designers, Sarah at Repeat Crafter Me.
The yarns I used for my table runner are: Vanna's Choice Oatmeal, Vanna's Choice Taupe, Vanna's Choice Mustard, Vanna's Choice Honey, Vanna's Choice Brick, and Impeccable Camo Tweed.
I crocheted the main body of the table runner with the Vanna's Choice Oatmeal yarn. I crocheted the letters with the Vanna's Choice Taupe yarn. I used my favorite size G (4mm) crochet hook. This is a corner to corner (c2c) crochet pattern. If you're not familiar with c2c, there are several tutorials on YouTube. It's a really fun stitch.
GIVE THANKS
After crocheting the main body of the table runner, I followed the pattern instructions and crocheted two triangles for the ends of the table runner.
I used a yarn needle to sew the triangles onto each end of the table runner.
After both triangles were sewn onto the ends of the table runner, I added the border using the Impeccable Camo Tweed yarn.
I attached the leaves to the ends of the table runner.
Thanks for checking out my version of this Thanksgiving Table Runner.
