When I think of spring and summer, I think of warm weather, fun in the sun, BBQs, and ICE CREAM! So I decided to crochet a fun ice cream scarf. Since my family and I are back in the PNW, it's still chilly here. I was hoping it would be warmer by now, but our temperatures are in the love 50s. Anyhoo, my favorite ice cream flavor is Bubblegum (especially the Baskin Robbins Pink Bubblegum). My love for bubblegum ice cream began when I was a little girl, and my parents and I would visit family in North Carolina. We'd stop at a place called South of the Border to get ice cream, and my father would get bubblegum, and so did I! The bubblegum ice cream at South of the Border was blue and so delicious. So what's YOUR favorite ice cream flavor? (Tell me in the comments!)
Like many of my fun food scarves, this is a pattern by Twinkie Chan, and the pattern can be found in her book Twinkie Chan's Goodies for Fashion Foodies. I started by crocheting the cones with Caron Simply Soft Autumn Maize. I used just about the entire skein of yarn for this project. The cones are crocheted with a size F/3.75mm hook.
The yarns I used for this project are: Vanna's Choice White, Vanna's Choice Chocolate, Vanna's Choice Pink, Vanna's Choice Pistachio, and Caron Simply Soft Autumn Maize (cones).
I added colorful mini pom poms to the ice cream.
Once each cone had its ice cream, I stitched all the ice cream cones together to form the scarf. I used my ice cream stitch marker to hold them in place.
My ice cream scarf has 3 vanilla cones, 2 chocolate cones, strawberry cones, and 1 mint chocolate chip cone.
This scarf is about 85 inches long.
Thanks for checking out my Crochet Ice Cream Scarf! So what's you favorite flavor? Tell me in the comments below.😊
