Over the summer my family and I adopted an adorable kitty we named Maki, and in honor of her first Christmas with us, I crocheted a couple kitty Christmas baubles. Since she is a tuxedo cat, I made a black and white kitty ornament to look like her. I made an orange and white kitty ornament for the Christmas Trees on Parade Ornament Giveaway, so that one is currently on its way to its new home.
I love using Caron Simply Soft Party yarns to create sparkly crochet baubles. (If you'd like to crochet your own kitty ornament, I recommend the Pet Baubles pattern by Natalie Beard.)
Last year, I bought several clear ornaments to use for my baubles, but you can also use old ornaments. I crocheted the top and the bottom of the ornament first. Then I added the cat ears after I stitched the pieces onto the ornament.
Ta-Da! or Me-ow!
I think this ornament looks cute on my white tree.
This is the ornament I made to look like my kitty Maki. The bottom half of the ornament is crocheted in Seahawks colors. Originally, I was going to add it to my Seahawks Themed Christmas Tree, but I bought an ornament tree, so I added it to the ornament tree with the rest of my crochet baubles.
These are absolutely adorable! I don't know that I could personalize them as well as you did.
