Earlier this month when I participated in the Dollar Store Craft Challenge, I shared my Black & White Bohasaurus. Well, that was not the first Bohasaurus I made. For the first Bohasaurus I made, I thought it would be cool to crochet it in TMNT colors, so I did! The Bohasaurus pattern by Mama Made Minis is really fun and works up quick, especially since you're using blanket yarn. The Bohasaurus is a mix between a stuffed toy and a lovey blanket, so only the head and tail are stuffed. The body is not stuffed making it extra cuddly like a blanket.
I started by crocheting the head with Bernat Blanket Brights Go Go Green yarn. The pattern says to use size 7mm and 8mm crochet hooks, but I only used the 7mm hook. I decided to add black safety eyes.
The head is stuffed with Poly-Fil.
After the head, you crochet the body onto the head.
Next, I crocheted the tail and the arms.
I attached them arms by whip stitching them onto the body with a yarn needle.
I was watching The Thing About Pam while working on this project, but I'm not sure if she approves...
I crocheted the dino's spikes with Bernat Blanket Brights Carrot Orange, Bernat Blanket Brights Royal Blue, Bernat Blanket Brights Race Car Red, and Bernat Blanket Brights Pow Purple. Then I sewed them to the dino body.
All the spikes are sewn on. And the legs are knotted. For some reason, that's what really made me want to make this dino. I loved the knots in the legs. 😁
This Bohasaurus is 23 inches long.
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my Bohasaurus!
