This winter we got a little snow at the beginning of February, and the kids missed a whole week of school. The snow inspired me to create another Long Tail Frosty Snowman Scarf. I made a Long Tail Frosty Scarf (pattern by Snappy Tots) a couple years ago using one of my favorite I Love This Yarn colorways called Cloudy Sea, which has been discontinued. So this time, I made one with I Love This Yarn Day Dreamery. I found a couple skeins of Cloudy Sea in my stash, so I do plan on making another scarf in that colorway... eventually. 😁 It is now Spring... kinda... We're just rainy over here!
I started by crocheting the brim of the snowman's hat with Yarn Bee Mini Maker Teal yarn. Then I crocheted the face with I Love This Yarn White followed by the main body of the scarf with I Love This Yarn Day Dreamery. I used a 4.5mm crochet hook.
For the nose, I used a wooden carrot button.
For the eyes, I used two small black buttons. I sewed the nose on with orange embroidery floss that perfect matched the orange carrot nose.
I followed the Long Tail Frosty Scarf pattern, and crocheted the pink circles for the cheeks with Vanna's Choice Pink, and I made the smile using Vanna's Choice Black.
Then made a fluffy white pom pom with I Love This Yarn White and a pom pom maker.
This scarf is about 62 inches long and 4.5 inches wide.
Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my ⛄ Long Tail Snowman Scarf!⛄ I have listed it in my Etsy shop if you're interested in purchasing if. To make your own, check out the Long Tail Frosty Scarf pattern by Snappy Tots.
